iTunes match is not syncing my playlist on iPhone 5

Hello All,

This is really frustrating. If I create a playlist on iphone and it shows immediately in itunes 11, however vice versa does not work. Inface when i turn off itunes match from iphone 5 and turn it back on, even the playlist i created from iphone does not show up. In other words itunes match has swalloed all my playlist and wont give it back to me. Its really frustrating trying to troubleshoot this issue. All the playlist I have in itunes now completely GONE and does not show up in my iphone. Please anyone with any suggestion help me get it back to my iphone.

Thanks

S.

Okay guys.. I gave up and called Apple Support, and they have heard little to no complaints regarding iTunes Match as a whole, not to mention it's a relatively new service. So over the course of 45 minutes the apple rep, Matt, and myself went through many of the motions people have prescribed here.

After a lot of effort and no results he asked how my iPhone was setup (ie. synced with my itunes or manually organized). I told him it was synced. Now; when my playlists stopped syncing, was when I started adding songs to them from my iPhone. So he said, plug the iPhone into your computer, let it do it's sync and see what happens.

What happened was it removed the songs that were added from my phone from their respective playlists, and reverted the playlists to what they looked like prior to adding songs from the phone. When I tried adding songs back into them from iTunes.. VOILA! It works.

Hope this helps you guys out, it's beyond a stressful hiccup but it's VERY easy to solve.

Cheers!

No playlists either and no music. Guess what this is the reason I switched to iPhone so I could have same music on my ipad and iPhone. iTunes Match synced into my ipad but no playlists or music of any kind on my iPhone and even when I bought a song with my iPhone guess whatnot there, but did show up in ipad and on iTunes. They said easy to use. Well this is not easy i have been frustrated for 5 days since getting the phone. Last apple product I buy.

Seems to me that *someone* from Apple Support should be studying these endless pages on Apple Support Communities. My experience when calling them as a last resort is that they are never aware of feedback and issues... even though the communities have hundreds of people commenting and growling about the same issue. Certainly iTunes Match appears to be more trouble than it's worth, which is very annoying as it doesn't come free.

I have been using itunes match since day 1. For the first few months nothing but headaches but it has worked perfect for me for a long time now. Another tip is when you enable itunes match on your phone you will see the spinning wheel on your phone. It can take a very long time for the process to complete. I did not no this at the beginning & would just get frustrated like everyone else but then I found out that the spinning wheel on the phone means the phone is updating. just have to be patient.. Apple teck support is also much better at helping itunes match problems than they were when it first came out. It has been an learning experience for most of us but almost all the problems we encounter has nothing to do with the program

Like I said the problems we have been having is just a lack of knowledge on all of us. once we learn how to solve these problems itunes match works great. If you ever have to much music on you devices & are running out of space just go to settings, general, usage, tap on the music icon & then swipe to the right. tap on the delete button and all your music is then deleted on the device & sent back to the cloud & will stay there until you play your songs again. Believe me, I did not figure this stuff on my own. When itunes match came out I probably called support 50 times until they were able to figure this stuff out. When itunes match first came out support had no idea how to solve our problems but now they have a real good handle on it

Like BNL442, I found ineligible items (the songs with the cloud with a line through it next to them) in my playlist and as soon as I removed them my playlist showed up and everything worked as it should!

A very sincere thank you to the pages and pages of posts from people who tried everything before me so I didn't have to!

For the moment I'm happy again with iTunes Match.

I have just bought Macbook Pro and am learning! Problem with syncing my iPod touch. It syncs (well, it says it does) but no music transferred and syncing only takes a couple of seconds so data is not being transferred. Before, with my Windows I only had to plug my iPod i and all tunes were transferred. Now, after the brief syncing, there are no tunes in my iPlayer.
