I just tried again this am by updating match on my mac and devices and still nothing. Then I noticed skin532's suggestion of changing the playlist name and low and behold it worked and all devices updated immediately. skin532 thanks and apple owes me a day of my life.

It was a server issue. All appears to be fine now, but I had to go to each device, turn off iTunes Match, then do a hard reset, turn iTunes Match back on, and all my playlists appeared. Apple Support verified that it was a server issue yesterday.

I have tried all of these suggested workarounds and none seem to work.  I've deleted the music file ---> hard reset.  Fail.  I've disabled itunes match on both iOS devices (iPhone 4S & iPad 3 both running 6.0.1) --->hard reset.  Fail again.  I've even updated to iTunes 11.0.1 just now and "updated iTunes match", and I am still missing 3 playlists on both iOS devices.  I have even renamed the playlist hoping that would initiate the push from the iCloud.  I'm running out of ideas.

It appears that the problem is solved. I can now sync between my iMac, iPad and iPhone (5).

"iTunes Mis-match" would be a better name for this product.  I cannot for the life of me get my playlists to match up.  My iMac is my master iTunes account.  I've tried what's suggested here in this thread and renamed playlists, etc., and I've turned off MisMatch on my laptop and then back on again.  It syncs and is STILL MISSING ENTIRE PLAYLISTS.  I dread to think what might happen (or not happen) if I reordered or added songs within a particular playlist.

And forget about my iPhone.  Trying to get MisMatch to update some changes to my Playlist led to duplicate playlists on my phone.  And when I went to clean up my phone, it just crashed from there.  I disabled MisMatch on my Phone and went back to a manual, wired sync to try and get everything back.  And all my playlists just disappeared from my iPhone.

I ended up having to spend an hour do a full Restore on my iPhone just to get an old-fashioned wired sync to work correctly again.  I love apple products, but iTunes MisMatch clearly got released well before they finished testing it.  What a total and complete disappointment (wrapped in a plethora of frustration).

Anyone out there have any better solutions?  Thanks!

Thanks for the discussion guys. I found the solution as well. After 11.0.1 update in itunes, I connected all my devices using USB cables at lease once and the server miraculously synced all my playlists. All you need to do is turn off itunes match from iOS devices and plug it in latest itunes and turn it back on. It seems to solve the issue. Moreover it looked like the server bug out of anything. I am glad it got resolved quickly.

I have tried all of the above suggestions and none of them work to get my new playlists on my PC to show on my iPhone 4s.  I have upgraded to iTunes  I've tried dissabling iCloud Match, re-syncing via USB, and re-enabling iCloud Match.  At no time during this process did my new playlists ever show on my phone.   Even with iTunes Match dissabled, re-syncing via USB did not make my playlists show on my iPhone.  That makes me think this must be more than just an iTunes Match issue.  It must be a problem with syncing playlists with iTunes in general.   Re-enabling iTunes Match also did not make the new playlists show on the iPhone.  Interestingly, all my older playlists which were created before I started using iTunes Match, and before I upgraded iTunes, all show perfectly on my iPhone.  I hope Apple fixes this issue soon!

    Problem solved, sort of:

In each of my newer playlists that weren't showing, there was one song that was not eligible for iCloud.   (Cloud icon with a slash though it)  Removing that song from the playlist caused it to show imediately on my iPhone.

The problem with this is, as I mentioned above, I also dissabled iCloud and synced via USB.  And without re-enabling iCloud, the playlist still wouldn't show on my iPhone when that song was in it.  So perhaps the song is "not eligible for iPhone" in addition to being "not eligible for iCloud".  The only trouble with this is there was no indication of this either in iTunes or on the iPhone.  I had to figure it out by trial and error and by sleuthing through the playlist to notice the icon.

What should happen is that the playlist should show on the iPhone and in iCloud but without the offending song.  Anyway now I know what to look for if this happens again.  I hope this helps others.

    Hello Everyone

On my iPhone (iOS 6.0.2) i activated iTunes Match. I see all songs, artist, Albums ect, but no playlists. Same ting with my iPad too. Playlists are missing.

It seems the problem is back.

    Can someone confirm, please?

There must be a problem with it at the moment. Whilst I don't use it on my phone I am seeing issue on my Apple TV. All playlists are gone. Songs and artists etc appear to be available and play but all the cover art is missing too. Very annoying and seems to be an all too common problem these days. As the remote app on the iPad is tied into match I can't get it to connect either unless I turn off match on the apple tv. No amount of rebooting, turning match on/off at the moment is fixing the issue. Clearly an issue at their end - again!!!

    Thanks Wayne for the confirmation.

Exactly i don't see album art either. But on cover flow (on iPhone) there are some but not all.

I logged a support call by Apple. Let's see how it goes.

I also have this problem - it only started today! I am unable to see any playlists or artwork on my iphone5 or ipad 2. I have tried everything including totally resetting, switching on and off etc to no avail. Could you guys let me know if you manage to resolve it? I was glad to see your messages as this must mean that it's clearly an Apple issue. I have contacted them regarding the matter once and all they said was that i should try re-setting my phonce completely. I have checked the service status and it doesn't state a problem with anything.

I hope they manage to resolve the issue soon!

    Kind Regards

I just contacted them but have had to do it from work as by time I get home will be outside of hours. Trouble is without a serial number for my apple TV to hand it hampers their ability to escalate. They said there are no known issues which irritates me considering there are several posts on the forums. I have made it quite clear it is an apple problem they need to fix. Maybe if others are able to log calls and make reference to the forums where others have issues it will add weight to this. This is a paid service so the downtime is inexcusable in my eyes. Do not be duped by the help desks into doing endless reboots or router tweaks as they will try to do. It is a problem with apple.

I just spoke with an advisor who was a good guy and tried everything with me to try and resolve it to no avail. He is passing the case on to some engineers to see if there is something wrong with my account specifically. Seems strange that a few people have had the same issues on the same day! It has been working fine up untill this point.

No matter what i try it simply will not push the playlists or artwork to my IOS devices (iPhone 5 + iPad2).

Hoping it will be resolved soon!
