    In my case, if I create a playlist on iPhone, it appears on iTunes but without songs.

    This is happening to me too, but it just started the last couple of days.  Here are my observations:

     

    • No playlists created (or edited) on my Mac shows on my iPhone (4S, Verizon).  They playlists update/sync just fine with my other iOS devices (iPad Mini and iPad 2nd gen).
    • If I create a playlist on my 4S, it will show up on my Mac (and other devices).
    • If I add songs to a playlist created on my 4S, they will sync with my other devices.
    • If I attempt to alter that same playlist (that is now synced with my other devices) on my computer or other iOS devices, the changes do not propegate back to the 4S.

     

    Seems like everything is working fine for me with the exception of the 4S.  I checked the status page for Apple's services, but nothing seemed wrong (as of this post).

    I’m having the same issue. I noticed it yesterday when I created a new playlist and it didn’t show up on my iPhone 5.  Of course, I tried rebooting the phone, forcing an iTunes sync with iCloud via Store > Update iTunes Match, and even creating bogus playlists to test.  Finally, I turned off iTunes match on my phone – big mistake!  As someone pointed out in this thread, now, not one playlist sync to my iPhone.  Clearly, it’s an Apple server issue.

     

    I have to say, Apple’s streaming has been really poor lately.  Downloading movies via iTunes to my Apple TV is awful – it takes hours.  (By contrast, a movie downloads directly to my iPad in 20 minutes.)  And in the last month, NetFlix streaming sometimes stops working.  In that case, I have restart the Apple TV to resolve.  (With regards to NetFlix, each time I was able to resume watching the movie on my iPad with no issue.)

     

    Apple is supposed to be first class – the elite.  They need to get this figured out.

    I am having the same issue. I got a replacement iPhone 5 and when I restored from backup I no longer had any playlists using iTunes match. I noticed the same problem as well that if I create a playlist on the phone it syncs back to my mac but without any songs in it.

     

    I have now had to turn off itunes match on my phone and sync my music from itunes on my mac because I use playlists too much. This really makes itunes match pointless for me. What are we paying for? And the worst thing is Apple dont even admit there is a problem or update the system status page.

    This is happening to me, too. I had to restore my phone, and I used a backup from Dec 9 and match worked fine. When I restored a few days later (my son kept wiping my phone with wrong passwords), I used a backup from jan 6 and match would not display my playlists. When I'm back home on my computer, I'm going to try to restore from dec 9 to see if that fixes it.

    Another sufferer here. I picked up a new iPad (3rd Gen) 64GB Wi-fi yesterday. After updating to iOS 6.0.1, I restored my back-up from my iPad 2 32GB Wi-fi (6.0.1) and reloaded my apps. I noticed this morning that although all my music shows up, my playlists aren't showing  up. My album art was missing for most of the day, but it finally appeared this afternoon. I've tried the usual fixes, turning Match off and on, signing out of the iTunes store, etc. No joy.

    Very similar issues here too. Started about 24 hours ago. Artwork and playlists are all present and correct in iTunes Match on iPhone and iPad but try and access iTunes Match on Apple TV and artwork gone, as are playlists, so it just seems to be an Apple TV issue with me so far. Not a major issue I guess because I can just access iTunes Match through music app and airplay it through apple TV, but something's going onif we're all experiencing similar issues i.e artwork and playlists vanishing.

    Same issue here. Happening on iPhone 5 after exchanging broken device. While trying to figure out what's wrong, I made the silly mistake toggling iTunes Match on and off on my iPad mini. So, now I have same issue there... :s

     

    No playlists, no artwork!

     

    are we just a bunch unfortunate ppl or what? Seriously, apple better fix this! Probably more ppl affected, but not noticing until they change anything.

    Same here, Tried serveral things. Nothing helps, i could kill someone THIS should be tested and then released as we are the Top Customers which buy the Newest Gadgets from them.

    Just got home and verified that this is also an issue on my Apple TV (same as Yannyfoxx is experiencing).  For right now, it's only happening on my iPhone 4S and Apple TV.  Both my iPad Mini and iPad (2nd gen) are functioning normally.  However, I have not disabled/enabled iTunes Match on those devices.

     

    It seems like it wouldn't just be our collective devices, but I'm still not seeing Apple as acknowledging any of their services are down.  Just very odd.

    iPhone 5 - Latest iOS, Latest iTunes. After adding a CD on my PC, to iTunes, yesterday, Music Match went through its usual process.

     

    I left the house, launched the Music App on the road, none of the new playlists appeared. Went through the usual force close Music, turn off Music Match in Settings, reboot (power+home), turned MM back on, no dice.

     

    Now none of the playlists appear and Genius is gone.

     

    I have the same issues as everyone else in this thread. However, I'm not going to walk around like a azzhat thinking I'm entitled to something.

     

    It's a bug, it's Apple, it'll get fixed.

    Same issues here.  My strong advice is do not turn off iTunes Match.  Wait it out.  The fixed a very similar issue last time in 3-4 days.

    I got mine to working, finally, by toggling iTunes Match off and back on on my Mac. It reprocessed my 6,061 songs, and when I turned iTunes Match back on on my iPad, my playlists were back. (I turned everything off and wiped my music on my iPad first, just to start with a clean slate.)

     

    My album art is reloading too.
