RE - up grading to MacOSX 10.7

While waiting for new generation of MacPro I operated happily on a 2006 MacPro maxed out with RAM and videocards and internal raid ... .

Eventually my setup felt sloggish with FCPX and this year I got a maxed out iMac ( 2011 TB - 3.4 - 2GB video ). After long discussions on forums I decided to clone my Mac Pro Boot drive to the iMac boot drive inorder to avoid all the installations for the softwares and plugins. All I had to do was the reactivation for some of my main audio applications and plugs. Everything went smooth and I lost half day work time.

The OSX on the boot was 10.6.8 which was the most stable at that time. Now - I like to upgrade the OSX to 10.7 ( not the latest and the greatest ) becaus many new plug-ins are demanding 10.7. What is the correct procedure for me to do this OSX upgrade ?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), i7, 2GiG Video card, 24 GiG RAM,

Lion is no longer available via the Mac App Store, directly, but is available via a Lion redemption code. Contact Apple's online store's telesales agents: 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) or Customer Service and Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775 and purchase the redemption code, then you'll get the redemptions code via e-mail and use it to DL from the Mac App Store.
