Question

Can I use any video card in my mac pro?

Currently there is a Radeon 5770 video card installed in my mac pro. Can I upgrade the video card to any video card of my choosing?

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

you want to say why, what use, budget, anything else?

Visit MacRumors and check out MacVidCards on ebay.

CS6 users can and 10.8.2 has support for GTX 570 and 670/680s, most common choice.

Or are you ATI and don't need CUDA?

So, lets say that I dual boot my machine and install windows 7 64-bit... Would that enable me to use any video card... if I download the correct drivers?

MacVidCards sells GTX flashed with EFI ROM.

A PC card lacks that early screen seen in boot until login and used for boot manager, safe mode, etc

the word "any" is way too general and universal. It comes down to which ones - and still the why etc
