When using Safari 6.0.2 I frequently cannot enter text into a text box. If I open a new page, it will work fine for a while and then develop the same problem. Anybody else have this problem and find a solution?

That doesn't answer the question as to whether you original problem is solved. If you didn't get the dialog from MacKeeper, it probably isn't fully removed. You would have to launch the application, take whatever installation steps it prompts you to take, and then quit before trashing it.
It's not in the list of applications. Do you think I should reinstall it and trash it again?
If all you did was drop it in the Applications folder and then trash it, yes.
OK, I'm dropping it in the trash, getting the prompt for my password, and then nothing. I empt the trash and get the crumpling sound. I don't get the dialog box. Suggestions?

I still can't tell from your response whether you actually launched the MacKeeper application. If you didn't, please do so. If you did, please repeat step 3 from my message timestamped Dec 14, 2012 10:55 AM.
After the installation of MacKeeper, it lauched itself. I quit MacKeeper and then put it in the trash. Once I did this, I was prompted to enter my password, which I did. The dialog box did not appear. I then emptied the trash. I then repeated this procedure.
