I want to sync my gmail contact on my iphone ang icloud.
Delete the account and try again. What error or problem are you having? Need more detail than "it doesn't work".

My question was for Contacts.
I deleted my account, for contacts and mails, and did the procedure of google (the link you gave me). Nothing wrokes. My contacts are empty (no message, only empty) and I have the message in my mails saying that it is not possible de have the mails, the connexion doesn't work. That strange because I can browse in safari...
Oh, and I restarted my Iphone and didn't change anything.
Try connecting via cellular instead of wifi.
My cell contract doesn't include 3G. I use only wifi. And it was going really well few weeks ago!
To have acces to my gmail account, I have to add it by choosing Gmail and not Exchange. But then, I can read and send me email (I made a test) but I cannot answer someone's email or send an email to someone. I even cannot go in my photos to send me selected photos. That's pretty weird!
Delete the account from iPhone.
Setup the Gmail account and use it only for Mails. (And notes if you want)
Setup an exchange account with your gmail username and password and use it only for Contacts. (the server name is m.google.com). You can't sync google contacts with iCloud.
Sounds like an issue with your wfi. Try power cycling your router.
If still a problem, try temporarily disabling all security on your router to narrow down the problem.
Thanks. That what I had before and was working (except for my sending mails problem...) but I thought that it was possible to sync all with one account (as Google writes http://support.google.com/a/users/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740&rd=1) and I guess not....
And now that I put it back (exchange for my google contacts only), it doesn't work!!!!!
I don't understand....
