How fast is the data transfer of iPod Classic 160GB?

First of all, sorry about my english :T

I'm planning to buy an iPod Classic with 160GB, because I want to use it as a music player AND a portable data storage device.

So, my question is: How fast is the data transfer to the iPod Classic?

I mean, if I go to iTunes, check the option "Enable disk use" and try to send a 1GB file from my MacBook Pro 13" to it, how fast the file will transfer? 1MB/s? 10MB/s? 100MB/s? 1GB/s?
