I iTunes thinks it should be bigger than my screen

The last time I accessed iTunes I was connected to an external monitor that is bigger than my laptop monitor. Now when I try to open iTunes I can only see the bottom left third of the application. I cannot resize it or access most of the buttons, any ideas how to resize it?
