Q: Creating iBooks for publish through iTunes

Is there anyway to create iBooks for publish through iTunes without using iBooks-Author ?. If so how and what file formats are supported ? Can I create a standard pdf file and publish it as iBook in iTunes?

    No, you can't publish pdf.  The format is .epub.  Apple's app for that is Pages, but there are lots of other ways to create it which you can find via google.  An iOS app that does it is Daedalus Touch.

     

    You can also create an app book, if you are a programmer.
