Best way to access large file on Macbook Air

I have an iMac and just installed the National Geographic the complete collection. It consists on 7 DVDs a total of 40 gigs of data. My wife has a new Macbook Air with 128 gig of flash memory. Since we are both on the same network what would be the best solution to provide my wife access to the National Geographic collection.
