iTunes 11: where did the apps go?
I installed iTunes 11 on a Windows 7 pc. Where did all of the apps go? All it has is music in it. How can I see all of my apps in iTunes now?
iPhone 3G, iOS 4.2, OS is actually 4.2.1

I already had a look at Configurator but the ratings were poor and I was not convinced it would make life easier. I have already upgraded the iOS so looks like I will have to drag my non-core apps into iTunes and see if they work. If they do I will tag them in Finder delete them from the mobile device and use them as and when required. It would have been so much easier if iTunes had highlighted all the purchased apps a month or so ago and given users the chance to clean up their app database. I will make another formal complaint via the feed back. This was major change yet it was just about as secret as documents held at Bletchley Park..

😀
Yep, there was fair warning about the removal of 32-bit apps, but nothing I saw to hint that apps and the app store were going to disappear from iTunes.

Genius' at apple will force me to windows android. It is much easier for me to control everything from my large screen computer. Verizon has already been bugging me and wife to upgrade. Pretty sure a true upgrade will be android. Who are they to tell me I don't need multiple backups or what I backup? And iTunes already seemed to have a poor decoder, at least worse than some others I have used. There was a time when it had a couple of features I liked but they have been killing those off with upgrades.
Does anyone know a program replacement for iTunes that is feature rich?
So, I can no longer post a review on iTunes from my PC? DUMB! I don't want to type a lengthy review using the tiny keyboard on my iPhone. Has Apple ever heard the phrase "If it ain't broke don't fix it."
I hope this wasn't answered already, if it was, please point me there.
I have just had to restore my 6plus and none of the Apps showed up from the backup which I performed only a day ago. Am I forced no to rebuild my entire phone from the app store on my phone? This is insane.
I am totally frustrated and the time consumption is bound to be ridiculous...

Did you restore a backup, or restore as a new device? When you restore the backup all of the apps that were on the device when it was backed up should be restored too. When using iCloud or iTunes 12.7 or later the apps are restored from the iTunes Store over Wi-Fi.

tt2,
You are completely missing the question everyone here, including me, is asking (or stating), there is NO APP reference any longer in iTunes 12.7. You can press the music link top left (your words, "Click the button that says Music near the top left, then click Apps.") all day long, there is no APP option.
I had to go to the App store on my 6Plus through a stupid convoluted procedure to add all of my apps back.
For some reason the several backups I had did not transfer the apps back onto my restored phone. I am guessing this is by design, the small print even leaves out "apps will be restored" it only references text messages etc.
Using iCloud is apparently an option but not all of us store our world in the Apple cloud no matter the security (hmmm) they may offer.
CLEARLY, Apple is no longer allowing app management via iTunes/IOS.
I have emailed them and lambasted them for this ridiculous carve out of a functional wysiwyg in iTunes.
Yes, I agree and would like to hear some justification for this major change that was unannounced.
For many of us iTunes was an easier option for app management; for instance moving and organizing apps as well as updating without having to use up cell data for that purpose. Why would Apple make this change and just who is it benefiting?
I appreciate your attempts to be helpful to those of us frustrated with this unneeded and unwelcome "fix" of iTunes and you clearly are quite knowledgeable about things Apple. I just wish the designers at Apple who are making the decisions to make such abrupt changes were more receptive to us users.😟

Thanks!
Logical place!
Who is responsible for this interface?
I still do not see apps. It is not listed in the drop down.
Apps are not showing in the drop-down menu anymore. I've got the last updates. What setting... could be the culprit?
Still doesn't answer the question of how to you manage your apps. How do you delete them from your library like you used to do with iTunes?
