Allow "Mute" for videos with sound

Is it possible to add an option to mute my video clips that have sound? I don't want readers to get in trouble if they are on a subway or on an airplane!

I don't think that's an option in the media widget, sorry. You could either:

(a) Create an HTML widget using the new HTML5 canvas tag (although not sure if iBooks Author accepts this as I haven't tried it yet). This way you could integrate a mute button.

(b) Just have the user mute the sound on their iPad - the easiest solution. Perhaps include a note next to each video clip that suggests users mute sound on their device if in a public place...
