Why airplay is so unstable?!!!

I have iphone4, iphone4s, and ipad2.

I have two airplay devices. a) Marantz CR-603 mini-hifi amplifier b) apple TV.

I bought Marantz CR603 first, when I pair with iphone4, never had any problem. my ipad2 and iphone4s will always have a problem finding this device, but i found a temp "solution" - everytime, I turn on my marantz hifi, i need to reset my wifi on ipad2 and iphone4s. (turn wifi off then on again).

Although it is not ideal, but at least can get it working...

Recently I bought an AppleTV 3. Now it comes the disaster. Airplay icon on and off, switch wifi on/off sometime no longer work, even on my iphone4, sometimes I need to set Apple TV airplay on/off, and usually the last resort is to reboot my router.

I went through many threads here, and also tried to follow the instruction here to setup my router. still no luck.. not stable... and have to reboot my router almost everyday before using appletv....

Is Airplay suppose to work like that??? Is there any solution? Is Apple software alway so hopeless? (like apple map on iphone5?) (

People who experienced similiar airplay issue, can you please post here as well so that Apple can lookinto this matter seriously?!!

thank you.

a desperate apple fan.

I have discovered the same facts. Often after a sleep mode or when I have not been using the Apple TV AirPlay for a while it simply doesn't work - until I take the power cable off and on. Then it works.. But very annoying.

I'll keep on checking if there is anything that I could do from my router perhaps?

Is there any proper recommend airplay router settings guide available?

Happy New Year,

Sami

I too am experiencing similar promblems with my Marantz C603. So far i've managed to connect an iPhone twice for a limited period. The rest of the time neither my iPhone 4,5 iPad or macbook pro can see it. Internet radio works fine and I've successfully pinged the C603 in Network Utility so I know its able to communicate via the router.

I'd love to know if its a firewall issue or some kind of setting. I don't have an apple router maybe that is an issue? I've trawled the net in so many different forums trying to find a solution but no such luck as yet.
