How to stop unwanted audio ads

You mentioned Gamestop in your original post. Are you listening to any internet radio stations? What are you connected to that would produce these sounds? The computer isn't playing them nor are your browsers, so you say. The Finder certainly doesn't on its own.

I fixed mine. The reason i had audio adverts playing in the background was because i was using web clips on my widget screen. Once i deleted the web clip that had the advert, the problem was solved.

Webclips dont take screen shots, they load the page everytime. If any adverts are on the page they load too.

The software is ad-supported.

The game software. A lot of game software is ad-supported (and usually free.) Typically, you have to pay for the software (or pay more) to eliminate the ads.

You must have had something running in the background playing audio most likely from the internet unless you downloaded something from a website.

Some background processes won't show up in AM. But it is unusual. I sure have no idea.

Did you ever find a solution to this?? Mine is only a few times a day... Nearly impossible to predict when it will happen and therefore to find a solution...
