Installing Mac Os X 10.2 Jaguar on new iMacs ( Intel inside )

Hi,

I'm trying to install Mac Os X 10.2 Jaguar on my new iMac ( Intel inside ) and it does not work.

Am I missing something or it is not supposed to work ?

Thanks !

P.S. MacOSX Jaguar is needed to test an old piece of SW.

iMac Intel, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Only the Intel version of Tiger can be used on the Intel Macs. You cannot use any PowerPC based versions of OS X on Intel Macs.

If you need to use an earlier version of OS X, then you will need a PowerPC based Mac.

However, it is possible your older software will run under Rosetta. Have you tried?
