Q: IPAD mini 4G with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint works with any international carrier??

Hi everybody

Basic question!! I am planning to buy Ipad mini through apple.com, I live in north africa and for sure we don't have AT&T, not Verizon Nor Sprint,

So, if i buy my MINI with AT&T for example you think it will works with my network carrier??

Is it unlocked??

its a GSM network so just make sure that in africa you have a GSM netowkr carrier

Hello guys
If we can use device which specified for a specific carrier company like verizon or at&t, so why we do search for unlocked iphones or ipads??
ipad mini doesn't have to be unlocked to work for mr.ieee in africa?? or for me in asia?

OK, read the specifications I linked to. If your provider supports these specifications then it will work with your provider. iPads are not locked to provider. The AT&T and Verizon designations are for the benifit of USofA users where AT&T and Verizon/Sprint use different network protocols.

thats quite enough info, at least i know that i can use ipad+4G where ever i want even if it was assigned for at&t as long as i have 4G network.

No. You do not need a 4G network iPads will use a 3G network if no 4G network is available.
