Siri refuses to call international number not supported by Apple.
I can't call any international numbers using Siri! Siri calls only numbers of countries supported by apple, but not any other country. I have all my contacts in international format, thus for instance a US contact is written as "+ 1 (3 digit area code) 7 digit phone number" and a dutch number as "+31 (two digit area code) 7 digit Phone number". These two countries have apple support and when asking Siri to call a person in those countries it performs the operation immediately. This is my problem: I live in Curacao and the numbers are written as "+ 599 (9) 7 digit phone number" and when I ask Siri to call someone's phone in my country it return the answer "Sorry, xxxxx, I can't call xxxxx's phone". I read some discussions on this topic and not any of the hints given helps my problem with Siri. Basically what I think that happens is that Siri decides to verify that the number you are trying to call is input correctly, and if Siri thinks that number is erroneously input by the user, it denies making the call. This is stupid, because the number is input correctly and it should just make the call like the user has input it in his contacts. The only way I can make calls via voice command is if I disable Siri, and then you can use the “simple voice command” of the iPhone’s (like existed before iPhone 4S).
I tried calling US costumer service support to report Siri's glitch, but this is impossible with Apple's narrow minded costumer service personnel. They don't give away either any e-mail or phonenumber to contact a person that can really give you a solution for your problem or at least to report it.
Do anyone know where you can contact the Apple Developers (in this case the ones that develop Siri), so maybe in the future they fix this problem with the new versions of iOS?
