Is the Intel Graphics 4000 a slow dog.

I have a macbook Pro with a AMD Radeon HD 6750M 1024 MB graphics card. I also have a 27" Cinema display. I do not need a lap top anymore, because I do not travel. I was thinking of selling it and getting a Mac Mini i7 with 16Gb memory and a Fusion HD and use my current display.

My issue is that I still do alot of video editing and photo graphics work. Will I see a difference, even the 16Gb mem and not a dedicated GPU.

My last resort, but will cost me more, which I want to avoid, is just selling all, and just getting a iMac 27".

thanks

Intel Integrated Graphics are the bottom end no matter which version, though it's impoved over the HD3000.

If your photographic work is more than touching up with

basic noise, sharpen, etc. filters or your video is more

than just splicing and minimal enhancing you will probably

quite disapointed with any integrated graphics solutions.

As others stated, the HD4000 is quite an improvement over

the HD3000, it can still be outperformed by all but the lowest

end discrete graphics currently available.
