Yahoo Mail won't send on iPad Mini, iOS 6.0.1
My Yahoo! Mail account isn't able to send new messages from the Mail app on my new iPad Mini. I have read many of the threads in this forum about a similar problem, and I've tried many of their suggestions. But mail is still not sending. Here's what I have tried....if anyone has MORE suggestions on how to troubleshoot, I'm all ears. This is pretty ridiculous.
1) Deleted the Yahoo! account from settings, and re-added it. I've done this 5 times now, still with no different results.
2) Powered down the iPad and reboot. Also done 5 times.
3) I read someone saying that re-adding the account while Wifi is enabled was a problem. So I disabled Wifi, and re-added the account that way. No dice.
4) I have changed my password at Yahoo!. No change
5) I deleted the mail account from my iPhone 4s as well, and re-added it there (in the same ways I described above). Someone mentioned there could be conflict between devices. So i started from scratch on BOTH devices. Nothing
What currently happens is I draft/send a new message, and the mail app displays a "Sending" message at the bottom, while the pinwheel continues to spin at the top of the window. After several minutes, it finally shows the following message: "Cannot Send Mail. The connection to the outgoing server "apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com" failed. Additional Outgoing Mail Servers can be configured in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
Any other suggestions? I am going to post the same message with Yahoo! Help.
