Error when syncing to iTunes

This picture says it all:

It keeps saying "could not be synced because the connection was lost" which sometimes happened when doing a Wi-Fi sync, but this is a wired sync!

iPod touch, iOS 6, 5th Generation, Product (RED), 64GB

Because iTunes lost the connection.

- Reboot the computer.

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Try another USB port.

- Try another USB cable.
