Q: Terminal denies password

I am having difficulty running `sudo` commands in the command line. I have verified my login password for my Admin account. I have verified the Master Password. Nothing. The funny thing is that the other Admin account can perform any function in Terminal.

 

 

I don't know what is going on here. The funny thing is that this is happening on both my MacBook Air and my iMac.

 

 

iMac 10.8.2

MacBook Air 10.8.2

Every account is an Admin with passwords.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

The problem is TextExpander. I have TextExpander set to capitalize the first letter of a sentence. TextExpander does not give the audible ding in Terminal nor is there any sign of expansion or input for that matter.

 

I checked it by copying and pasting a correctly typed password in from TextEdit to Terminal.

 

I would feel silly after pondering this for a few days but I have all my settings correct. I am going to look into the expansion thing while in Terminal and definitely turn it off. The thing is while it defiantly expands TextExpander should definitely alert that an expansion has taken place.

    What happens when you try to run the commands? If the issue is that your password isn't displayed when you type it, that's normal.

    I get the "invalid password" three times thing. I understand that the password nor the the cursor displays.
