getting green or purple frames after render

Ever since the latest updates, I am getting bright green or purple frames that appear in my footage after rendering.. it's HORRIBLE and make it's basically impossible for me to edit anything as I have to go back in and re-render every time a new green or purple frame appears.

Is anyone else experieinceing this?

I am pretty sure I have updated all of my filters.. I use FxFactrory Pro and they keep things updated.

I just don't know how to stop this from happening!

Thanks!

This is a know issue with FCPX 10.0.6 and 10.0.7 - it happens when plugins are used.

I used the Edit Detector program from Digital Rebellion to search my exported file for the flashes. I then exported shorter sections from my final video again (i.e. shorter 5 seconds sections) which I found did not have the flashes, added these as connected clips and re-exported the whole file again.

I only had 3 flashes in a 4 hours video to correct.

This was painful, but a good workaround until Apple fix this!

I just expoted a 4 hour video from FCPX - each time I delete all render files from the event and project.

The 1st two times using OSX 10.8.2 I encountered a few magenta flashes

The 3rd time using OSX 10.8.3 I had zero magenta flash frames!!

Have apple secretly fixed this issue with the OSX update? Can anyone else report success?

I am heavily using Magic Bullet Looks, Neat Video, Lock and Load X etc

I figured out that there were particular filters in my setup that were causing these flashes AND I WASN'T EVEN USING THOSE FILTERS!

So.. bad filters can mess up your rendering even if you don't use them but have them installed on your system.

The filters I removed that SOLVED THE PROBLEM immediately, were the Ripple Training Filters.. (RT Drop Shadow, etc.) remove those and you'll be fine!
