Help. Lost Time Capsule password? Can you advise what I need to do?

Hi,

I read someting about a soft reset but I'm concerned that I'll wipe all my data.

COuld someone be kind enough to give me a step by step guide as to whether it's possible to get into the time machine, and if, what I need to do?

Try this User Tip from forum expert Tesserax first:

AirPort - Regain Access from Forgotten Passwords

If that is not successful, you can use a Soft Reset to reset the passwords.

Relax. This type of reset will not affect any of the stored data on the Time Capsule disk....it will only affect the password(s), so you can reset them.
