iTunes won't open unless in safe mode....

I am unable to open iTunes unless in safe mode. I followed the instructions on the Apple site to see if it would or not. I have also check to see if my add-ons for itunes are compatible with itunes but I have NO add-ons in my add-ons folder.

Have others had this problem?

When I click on itunes a message comes up:

"This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes"

I was only using my itunes yesterday!! I don't want to reinstall itunes ... but if I have to, do I lose all my information?

cheers

Monika

"This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes"

Let's try a repair install of iTunes first.

Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", click "Change" and then click "Repair".

Can you launch your iTunes now?
