iPad Mini Wi-Fi Connection Problem

My new iPad Mini will not stay connected to wi-fi. I have to reconnect and retype in router password every time. Have restarted router. No problems with other Apple MacBook Pros, iPad, iPhone 4S. What setting am I missing?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)

Try #5.

Some things to try first:

1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

• Launch Settings app

• Tap on Wi-Fi

• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

I have the same problem. Spoke to apple and we have tried:-

1. Reset router

2. Reset network settings on mini

3. Renew lease on network, mini

4. Factory reset on mini

5. Power of and on of mini

Have tested now for 24 hours and have still had 3 disconnects from wifi, each requiring the network to be selected and password reinterred. This is very annoying. Non of my other iPad or iPhone devices behave like this.

This is happening on iOS 6.0.2 too......I am beginning to thing the mini has a problem!

I can't say I'm necessarily losing wifi connection. I have solid bars but I'm losing my Internet connection. Youtube will timeout, Safari usually requires me to try a site and then refresh the (still waiting) page to get a page to even have a chance at loading. emails won't load, and then does load sporadically. But I have solid bars the whole time. This happens on public WIFI's pretty regularly. Home network not as mush, but it does happen occasionally. Very frustrating. I can sit my 4s next to the mini, load the same page, and the iphone loads instantly while the mini take forever.

I am so over this issue, Today for my birthday I recieved a new iPad mini with wifi. & have not been able to connect to my home wifi. my iPhone 5 & Macbook were connecting perfectly until i reset my modem/router, all three devices turned to self-assigned problem. Macbook eventually fixed itself. but my iPad mini & iPhone 5 are both still not connecting. I'm actually really dissapointed that I haven't been able to use my iPad mini on wifi. I have had alot of issues before with this self-assigned problem & no connection, they eventually sorted out themselves after 1-3 days, still this is NOT acceptable.

İ've just gave my daughter a new ipad mini as present. But she wants me to add her favourite cartoons in it. Bu since wifi connection resets every 2 minutes, it is almost impossible to send movies over wifi. Moreover, sometimes market gets locked and says wifi connection lost (im sitting right next to the router, and yes i restarted ipad several times).

I'm normally an android user I used to transfer every kind of file over cable or wifi. This is my first experience with an apple. And sorry to say that but why everything is so hard to do in ios??? In particular, why wifi goes off by itself?

Is there a solution? Please help...
