change video format in iMovie

i took a video on my iphone and put it into imovie.ive never used imovie before but i want to know how to change the video format so i can upload the video to youtube.any help?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Late 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5)

don't care for formats.

use iMovies designated YouTube feature

described in the Manual
