Close apps in background
In order to save my battery, I close all the apps in the backgound several times a day. Is there a way to do this more handy? E.g. an app?

I don't believe there is, however most apps don't accually stay running in the background and therefore don't use any system resources. I close out my apps to reset them not so much for saving battery

Hope that helps
non-native apps do not runin the background for long.
Despite the above my iPhone's battery is dying slowly. Since I close the used apps my batteries life improved a lot........

Native or not, they will run as long as they are designed to.
Some app do still run in the background and that will have an affect on battery life. That's why I said most apps don't. Back to the OP. There is no easy way to close out all the recently used apps at the same time. One at a time is all Apple allows. Sorry
Most 'native' apps don't run in the background either.
that may be a con-incidence. according to apple's own document, non-native apps do not run in the background, simple.
not true - most native ones do - safari can buffer videos, download pdf in the background, music can play in the background, itunes and app store can download in the background.

To name a few non-natoive apps that do...
iHeartradio, Waze, Pandora, TuneIn radio, TeamViewer, TuneLink
most native ones do
A few do. Most don't as they don't need to. Why waste processor cycles?
