Q: How do I restart Time Capsule?

I read an article on Apple's Support site that said re-starting your time capsule causes it to perform a verification of all the files on it. How do you re-start it?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Pull out the power plug .. count to 10.. push in the power plug.

Or use the wall socket switch... !!

It checks the disk not the files.. that would take hours.. but it can check if the smart has gone off, which would indicate errors.

To actually check the files you will need to do a verify.. which you can only do to the sparsebundle.. you cannot check files just straight copied to the TC.

A5 for verifying your backup .. but you can also do it by using option key and click on the Time Machine icon in the top menu.. that will reveal the verify option.
