The widgets have already been created by Apple, no? I was finally able to drag keynote widget to ibooks author page and drag the keynote presentation to the widget. Now when I connect my iPad, open ibooks, and select View (from ibooks author menu), all the content of my book doesn't display on the iPad, including the keynote presentation. The cover flashes on the screen briefly, then a very basic outline is all that appears, with none of my book content. My impression was that the iPad View is supposed to present a finished product display (the same as other ibooks in my library).

The beauty of ibooks author was supposed to be it's simplicity. Being the polar opposite of a computer geek, I am not finding this to be the case. Terms like HTML make me dizzy. I really wish Apple would have some workshops on the Author application.

Thanks for your help. If you can be of further help resolving this I would greatly appreciate it.

according to Apple:

You can add a Keynote slideshow to your book. To add a Keynote file, you must have Keynote 5.2 installed on your Mac.

Note: Keynote files can contain media—such as images, movies, and audio—but don’t use a Keynote file just to add media to your book. Instead, use a Media widget or drag media directly to a book page.

You can’t add self-playing files or files with voiceover narration. In addition, some Keynote slideshow features (such as certain slide transitions) might not work as expected.
