Cannot connect to Exchange server?

My work uses Exchange Server 2008. I have no problems connecting and syncing calendar events/contacts through my iphone. When I attempt a connection through the Mail app on my Imac I'm receiving an error that the Exchange server is not responding.

I've tried it as an Exchange, Exchange IMAP, and IMAP but all report the same error. Is there something really obvious I'm missing?
