Can't syncing appointments >8wks back in my calendar

Hello-

My iCal on my computer is working fine...all meetings going back years and year appear just as they should in my calendar.

However, on my iPhone only the last 8 weeks of appointments appear.

There are items before that, but only ones that:

1. are recurring appointments

2. were invites from someone else

Any advice?

I'm not using iCloud, I plug in my iPhone 4S to sync it.

Am using iCal 4.0.4 and OS 10.6.8

Settings/Mail,Contacts,Calendars - scroll down to the "Sync" setting.

I think you are talking about on my iPhone, correct?

I so must be missing something....

I look in

Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar

I scroll down and there isn't a "Sync" setting.

I look at all of the sections:

Accounts

Mail

Contacts

Calendars

But don't see a "Sync" setting.

Am I looking right past it somewhere?

Connect your phone to iTunes on your computer and go to the Info tab of your iTunes sync settings. Under Sync Calendars make sure you haven't checked "Do not sync events older than...". If you have, uncheck this and click Apply at the bottom to sync your phone. Then see if your older events appear on your phone now.

You're welcome. You can only adjust the sync setting on your phone if you are syncing your calendar with iCloud, not iTunes. Glad you got it fixed.
