Q: how do i clean the ipad screen

Use a piece of micro fibre cloth.

I use an LCD kleaner like iKlear to clean my laptop screen, iPad screen and iPhone screen once a week, you can buy a "starter pack" for $19.99 and it comes with micro fiber cloths.

I just use a dry micro fibre cloth for daily cleaning. About once a week or if it gets real grungy I'll use a damp, well wrung out, micro fibre clothe and dry with a clean micro fibre clothe. No need for special cleaning solutions but only use those specifically made for computer or tablet screens. I buy bundles of 5 12"x12" micro fibre clothes for around $5 at my local hardware store.

You can buy microfiber cloth intended for eyeglasses at any drug store or eye glass store.
