I am relatively new to the server administration. So my apologizes if this has been asked before. Could anyone show me how to set up lion mountain server so that:

- server (including mail) can be reached at server.example.com

- email address is user@example.com AND NOT user@server.example.com

Is there anywhere a tutorial/podcasting?

- server (including mail) can be reached at server.example.com

Setup a DNS record that matches 'example.com.' to the address of your server.

- email address is user@example.com AND NOT user@server.example.com

Tell your mail server that its primary domain is 'example.com' and not 'server.example.com'

This is mostly moot, though, since it only affects mail generated by the server itself and not by users/mail clients.
