Multiple Perl versions in System Library. Safe to delete older??

Just noticed there are two Perl versions present in my System Library, as follows:

/System/Library/Perl/5.10/

/System/Library/Perl/5.12/

/System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.10/

/System/Library/Perl/Extras/5.12/

Is it normal? Is it safe to just trash the directories of the older version? (I don't know what created this duplication. Some rogue app, a faulty upgrade process… or it's ok?)

Your input will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This is normal. Don't mess with anything in /System.
