singer enhance; piano reduce

I had my daughter in a musical. it was in the school gym. Not the greatest acoustics to begin with. But, the piano teacher was playing full volume (too loud for not having the cast members miked, in my opinion.) However, when one of the singers didn't belt out her tune, you can barely make out her singing. Is there a way to isolate the piano so I can hear more of the singer and less of the piano?

No.

You can apply an Equalizer, in hope to raise the frequencies of her voice.

(spoken voice usually around 3-4kHz)

But unfortunately, a piano is made to give sounds from the whole spectrum.

.... only the experts in 'C.S.I.Miami' can do such tasks 😉
