Why does my AirPort always automatically turn on after I start up my Powerbook?

Hello. I'm having problem with my Powerbook's AirPort. While most of airport problem is, it can't be turned on, but why does my AirPort always automatically turn on after I start up my Powerbook?. Can anyone help me? Thank you so much.
