Is Thunderbolt Display PC Compatible?

Hey guys, does anyone know if the thunderbolt display is pc compatible or how to make a PC compatible to use it?

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1

basically, no. IF your PC had a thunderbolt connection on the motherboard, then yes,

assuming that the pins were compatible and a suitable driver was there. I'm presuming you're talking about the Apple Thunderbolt display, right? As far as I know (which isn't that far), there are no PCI-E thunderbolt cards for PC (or whatever connector is there on the motherboard).


I'm sure I can be proven wrong on this question. I'd say check your manual. If it says it's got a thunderbolt port, then it ought to work, otherwise, no.

It is compatitble with PC.. only iSight cam seems not to work on win8.


You just need to install the correct intel thunderbolt drivers and MUST have the following hardware:


1. Thunderbolt enabled mainboard. Like Asus Z77 / Z87 dual quad.

2. CPU with integrated graphics. like i7-4770k


Plus Lucid MVP software if you wish to use Discrete cards.


But the price of TB mobo + cpu is so high .. you better just get a iMac and bootcamp it.
