For what it's worth, you are posting in a forum for Mac hardware made before 1998. It get very little traffic.

You will be better helped by asking the question in the forum that matches your product, which I presume to be an iPod.

I don't have any two that are exactly the same, and none of mine match yours. But the weasel words "Designed by Apple in Californina" vs. "Assembled in China" sound authentic enough. What are your concerns? Does it have the removeable plug module?

it could be an authorized product, an unauthorized clone, or a counterfit with the "right words". The A1205 charger only outputs 5W, which is suitable for iPods and iPhones.
