Upgrading to 10.6

Hi, I have Tiger running now. I do my taxes with Turbo Tax and have received an email from them stating that this years version not run on anything older than 10.6. I need to upgrade. Do I have to buy 10.5 and then 10.6, or can I jump directly to 10.6? I found a new, sealed full installation version of 10.6 on e-bay. Also I run Final Cut Pro version 6.06. Will I have any problems after upgrading to 10.6?

Hi Mende1,

Thanks for your reply. In the link, it states that I need a 64 bit Intel processor. I've checked everywhere, and I cannot find out if the Intel Core-Duo (not core-2-duo), is 64 bit or not. Do you know where I can learn about the processor that I have? My iMac is the first generation of iMacs built with Intel processors if that helps.

cheers,

Jack
