issues with HD video in iTunes and 2012 mac mini

Hi guys, so i just received my 2012 mac mini. I have connected 2x Dell U2410 displays, one via DVI to DVI-HDMI (supplied DVI to hdmi converter) and then the other display via DVI to Displayport then to Dispayport to mini displayport converter.

Whenever i try and buy an HD video in itunes i get the following message.

"This cannot be played in HD on this computer.

You must rent and watch the HD version on an HD-compatible device, or you can rent the SD version and watch it on this computer"

Why would i be getting this message?

Hi Dani, not the best to answer this, but in System Preferences>Displays, what are the eported resolutions for eac Monitor?

Just as a test, have you tried just one monitor at a time

on each of the ports?

yes i have done this, i have also tried an hdmi to mini displayport cable and that was a nightmare. As reported online apparently HDMI has a huge issue with this new HD 4000 graphics card. The text was all fuzzy and the picture was really bad.
