My Leopard stopped backup in Nov 1211. The timemachine icon continues to rotate anticlockwise but don't appear to save. Also have external backup and wondering if this interferes with Apple timemachine??

Hi, what kind of backup is the other external? I doubt that's it.

Can't imaging something not being covered there.
Have you checked to see if the Time Machine HDD is healthy or not?
