I can't get a call or call/hear people when using the iPhone 5 ?

Hello Apple Community,

I got my brand new 32GB iPhone 5 and when i can not receive a call.This is what happens: Someone calls me and i pick up after that the call timer sits on 0:00 and we can not hear each other.If I call someone i cant hear the "beep" sound which is when you are waiting for the person who is called to pick up..It just sits there.

Is there a solution for this because i am getting really annoyed.I cant answear my calls and call people.Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read this.
