Book will not import to iTunes but no error messages reported

For several days I have been trying to upload an epub using iTunes Producer. I have uploaded 9 books successfully using this process previously. However this one will not upload and I am receiving no error messages or any other helpful information from Apple.

The only way I have found out why the book is not appearing in iTunes Connect is by looking in the Package History using ITunes Producer. There I can clearly see the upload is not successful as it simply states 'import error'.

As I have not done anything differently from previous occasions and cannot find any other information I have tried emailing Apple this morning but as I know it can take days for them to answer I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had a similar problem and may perhaps have some suggestions.

Thanks,

Sue

Hey,

I was also facing the same issue. I contacted Apple and they reverted back. You can see what my issue was in the following discussion. I hope it will help you

Thanks Mohammad - much appreciated.

I also got a response from Apple who said that there was a problem related to fonts and the encryption.xml file

Once we'd removed this we were able to upload the epub no problem.

It's odd that the system seems to say that all is okay when it isn't. We have to rely on guesswork rather a lot using iBook Producer.

Anyway, all sorted now and thank you again for your contribution.

Best wishes and a Happy New Year!

Sue
