Q: Syncing photos isn't working. Please help!!!

I select about 17 folders to sync to iPod and begin the sync. Once it is complete, the bar on the bottom of iTunes shows that the photos have been synced, and it says they were synced. Once I go to my iPod, there is only 3 of the 17 folders that were supposed to sync. I sync again, nothing happens, I remove all the photos and try again, nothing happens. I try to do it one folder at a time, no luck. On another thread I read deleting the photo cache may help, so I did that, still nothing. PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks,

Andrew

    Have you looked here:

    iTunes: Unable to sync photos

Also, did you look for and delete all iPod photo Cache folder? You can have more than one.

Unless I've missed something with the iOS 6 update, you can only choose one folder to Sync with your iPod.

However, to put multiple folders onto your iPod, you simply need to nest the folders into one parent folder. Then choose the parent folder to Sync.

So drag-and-drop the 17 folders into one folder (named - for example - SyncToiPod) and then choose the SyncToiPod folder as the one folder to Sync.

On your iPod Touch, I believe the exact layout of the Photos App has changed a little with iOS 6, but basically, you should see several headings:

    • Photo library - which contains every picture you've Synced, in one continuous list.
    • <folder 1> - the first alphabetic folder from the 17, with only the photos from that folder.
    • <folder 2> - the second alphabetic folder from the 17, again with only the photos form the second folder.
    • ...and so on.

Have I missed something lllaass, or does one still nest the folders, as I've outlined?

You can only have one syncing folder and you can one level of subfolders in that one syncing folder.

    Hi lllaass,

    Just as I thought.

I've assumed that this is the issue the OP is having, although I don't understand how 3 of the 17 managed to Sync. I'll wait and see if the OP supplies any more information.

    Thanks,

I too just disregarded the folders he mentions since he synced more than one folder.

Thanks to everyone for the help! I solved it by unchecking include videos. The mother folder is my photos library. Sorry the wording was bad.
