hello. i wanted to unlock my iphone 4... we have to complete the unlocking process through itunes... i m yet to get a new sim card. is it necessary to have a new sim card inserted in the iphone when we connect it to itunes to unlock it? thanks 🙂

Yes, you have to have a SIM card from the carier that unlocked the phone. After that you can use any SIM card you want.
thanks for the fast reply.... my previous carrier was AT&T and i havent decided about new sim card... so will it do if i use the same old sim card?
or i ll need a new one?
You use the old SIM card to complete the unlock process. Remember, the unlock MUST be authorized by ATT. After the phone has been unlocked, you can use any sim you want.
IF your phone has been previously jailbroken/hacked the phone will most likely NOT unlock...
