scanned document too large to e-mail. Can I fix?

can I increase e-mail memory to handle larger attachments.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

No.

But you can change the scanner settings to make a smaller file size or open the file using Preview and change the dimensions or format.
