How can I tranfer my songs from my computer to my ipad

You should be able to sync them via your computer's iTunes, so you will first need to add them to it (File > Add To Library) if you haven't already done so. Then connect your iPad and select it on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11 then on a Mac you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S, control-S on a PC) and then use the Music tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select and sync your music to the iPad's Music app.

connect it to your pc with the usb cord, open ipad window on pc from going to ??? my computer??? then drag and drop the songs from itunes into the correct music file on the ipad? i used to drag and drop with my old mp3 player... hope this helps

With iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar with control-S on a PC. You should then be able to select the iPad under 'Devices' on that sidebar, and then select the Music tab on the right-hand side of iTunes
