Hi, I'm running 10.8 on a MacBook Pro Late 2011 model, and I took my MacBook in to get the display replaced. Ever since I got it back, a user 'Local Guest' seems to have been appeared. 'Guest' is shown as disabled in System Preferences, all checkboxes are unchecked. I just can't get rid of it. Thanks in advance!

By the way it's 'Guest User', not 'Local Guest', my bad.
If you have installed Find my iPhone the Guest cannot be romoved.

With both options unchecked, you should not be able to log into the Guest account from the keyboard or remotely for sharing. Are you saying that is still possible with those items deselected?
Even with the options uncheck, the Guest user account will remain in the list. It is just unusable.

So, can you log into the Guest user?
It says right there on your screen shot that it is Disabled.
Somehow, I can. It shows up in the login UI and works perfectly fine, albeit erasing stuff when logged out as it is supposed to.
It's there cause it's supposed to be.
Are you using file vault?
Your disk is encrypted.
That guest account is for someone who finds your computer to be able to connect it to the internet so that you can find it.
Can't disable 'Local Guest' User.
