iTunes Crashes when trying to watch movie.

I'm running windows 8 and iTunes 11 up to date.

After upgrading to iTunes 11 whenever I try to open a movie/tv show/music video .

iTunes will go to the full screen as it would when the movie, show, video, would begin then just freeze making me Ctrl/Alt/Dlt

Task manager then close iTunes because it is "not responding"

I have looked at many different forums and websites to find a solution but couldn't find anything that worked.

I tried to disable the Direct 3d video acceleration on quicktime, many people said that makes it work but not for me.

Also I enabled home sharing after hearing that helped, sure enough... Nothing.

Does anyone have any other solutions I can try? I just want to watch my movies on my laptop.
